The Joshua Tree Retreat Center, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright, is built on a unique energetic vortex and is where Ding Le Mei introduced the breath of life in 1941. The Center is laid out on a hexagonal grid with more than 17 vortices. Yogananda had walked this land in earlier times. It truly is a magical place.

Joshua Tree Retreat Center has open spaces, sacred meditation locations, and serene vistas filled with native plants. There are plenty of wonderful spots to explore, such as:

  • An outdoor amphitheater with earthen stage, lights, and fire pit for outdoor activities
  • Meditation paths, rose labyrinth, medicine wheel, and Tai Chi circles
  • Healing Chalice Well
  • Warm and cold pools
  • Traditional Lakota Sweat Lodge
